Looking For The Right Place For You And Your Horses? Look No Further.

This 35 acre property is less than an hour and fifteen minutes drive away from the G.T.A. and only five minutes from the 401.

Where do I start?

I will start with the house. Originally built in 1901, this three bedroom farmhouse features a large country kitchen and eating area that is the centre of activity in the home. Everything has been lovingly restored by the current owners and the wiring, plumbing, electric fixtures and windows have all been updated in the last few years as has the oil heating system. Visitors will be impressed with the gleaming hardwood floors throughout as well as the attention to detail that is displayed throughout.

Improvements to the house in the last ten years include a new gable roof and trusses, new drywall, vapor barriers and insulation as well as the new board and batten siding that makes the house stand out. Despite all of the upgrades and improvements, this house has really maintained an old farmhouse feel to it. It's like having the best of both worlds.

The barn is what really captures people's attention as they first drive up the driveway. This barn was built in 1870 and still stands in perfect working order today (after a lot of work by the current owners). The foundation has been completely restored and I can honestly say that this is one of the sturdiest barns I have ever been in. This building is as fully functional today as it was when it was built 142 years ago. Not only does the barn have stalls a working area and a tack room for the horses, there is the entire top floor left for storing hay and just about anything else you would want stored.

The structure itself measures 30 x 60, so it's a full sized barn. the lower level of the barn has an additional workshop with two distinct working areas. This workshop area has it's own propane heating system so it can be used year round.

The detached two-story garage is also a very useful building that combines form and function. It's large enough to store all the toys you might need to explore your new 35 acre property.

Last, but not least of the buildings on the property is the summer home. This three season board and batten sided structure is the perfect place to spend those warm summer nights. kids will be delighted when they stay over and discover that they have their own sleeping area. Everybody loves a bunkie in the summer.

Oh wait, there's one more building, but it doesn't get used that much, you will find a fully functional ventilated outhouse behind the barn. This is more of a conversation piece, but it does work.

Now for the property itself......., it has just about everything a horse (or human) could want. Naturally horses will like the riding trails that meander through the land as well as the four pastures and the riding enclosure. The trails run through three different ridges, a stream, many different variety of trees, sand dunes, a beaver pond and other natural delights. On any given day one can run across wild turkey, deer, foxes, beavers, rabbits and dozens of other smaller species of mammals and amphibians. You will have to look at the pictures to appreciate the diversity that can be found on this single property.
