Calling All Photographers in Quinte West.

Here's an opportunity for some local shutterbugs to share their talents with the rest of us. Quinte West is looking for photographs that can be used to showcase our city and is turning to the public to get the job done. There are some rules and regulations that apply to this contest (the 5th annual), and they can be read here.

These photographs will be used to show the rest of the world all the good stuff we have going on here and maybe tempt them to visit our little corner of the province. First prize is $300.00 in certificates that can be used at local businesses, so it's worth putting a bit of thought and effort into this.

I think it would be pretty neat to have one of my pictures put to good use, so I might enter a couple myself (maximum allowed is ten). I think I have a few good ones that might make the grade. I'm always carrying my camera with me, so I'll have to go through some of my computer files and see if there's anything worth sending in.
