I was reminded by Kristen Wheatley to "claim my blog" on Technorati, which is something I should have done quite a while ago. Technorati is one of those interweb sites that almost everyone has heard of, a lot of people use, some know what it actually does, and one or two can explain it so that others can understand.
To claim my blog(s) I need to embed a code in the body of a post, and Technorati will see the code and voila, my blog(s) will be claimed. 778N9Z8CBV2Y
I thought long and hard about how I could surreptitiously drop these codes into the body of a blog post, maybe gracefully segue into it somehow, but alas, this is impossible. UC9FQZ3SNJUN
Anyhow, if you happen to be a Blogger, and you haven't claimed your blog on Technorati and provided them with an RSS feed, do so. It gives you one more platform where someone may stumble upon your writings.
Wow! Never heard of this one, but thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will have to check this out. We all need as much help as we can get. Happy Thanksgiving
Malcolm. Yet another think I will need to get on top of. All I need is a few extra hours every day!
With just 36 days left in 2010, Zoey the Cool Cat and I just wanted to stop by and wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hope it’s a great one, with lots of fun and food with family and friends!
Thanks Malcolm, I've just taken the time out of my day to claim my Technorati blog. Something I really had no idea that I should do. This is valuable information. I'm glad I stumbled upon it. We spend so much time writing our blogs it's probably a good idea that we get them out there too!
Malcolm,
Thanks for the heads up on this. However, It's sounds rather complicated.
Brian
Jean, do go check it out, Technorati is a very important site for bloggers.
Ellie, this one isn't too bad, it's just a one time thing, 15 minutes and then you're all done.
Russel, thanks for stopping by, i's always a pleasure. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving as well.
Mike, that's great, it will certainly help your blog get more authority in your area with the keywords that you use.
Brian, really it's not that complicated, basically you are just providing your RSS feed to Technorati. It's similar to having someone reblog what you wrote. Your posts just pop up somewhere else.
Ah Malcolm, don't try to stun me with techno babble! LOL! RSS feed?! You're just showing off ... right? LOL
Good morning Malcolm.
Malcolm, thanks for the info, how ever, I am like Brian, if it takes more than 5 minutes, I'm technically screwed!
Ty
Malcolm, thanks for this information. I have never heard of this, but thanks to you, will check it out.
