Yaay, A Tintin Movie is in the Works. Can't Wait.

Well it's about time someone made a decent Tintin movie.

Most North Americans (other than people from Quebec) probably won't be terribly excited about a Tintin movie, but kids of all ages who grew up outside of North America will be chomping at the bit to go and see this. Steven Speilberg and Peter Jackson have teamed up to bring Tintin to the big screen. With those two fellows at the helm, you know it's going to be good, blistering barnacles. I have waited a long time to see the boy wonder get his shot at movie stardom.

I have always loved the relatively simple, yet very exciting and colourful stories, and now I'm excited at the prospect of a whole new audience getting introduced to tintin and his wonderful cast of friends and foes. The only problem is that I will have to wait until December 23rd to watch this. I guarantee you that I'll be one of the first in line when the movie opens.

HI Malcolm,

Tin Tin or as the books were called in Holland (dutch) "Kuifje" which the nick name of the boy in the books,

I used to red and read them over and over growing up (there are about 30 stories if I recal correctly) so if this movie works,  we are in for a whole Tin Tin revival series.

Hey Malcolm - That's great news!  I used to read the Tintin comic books in French to improve my French.  What fun that the characters are coming to life.  Make that popcorn for two!

Malcolm, can't say that I remember Tintin books or movies, but Alec is starting to get interested in movies that are not animated, so this might just be a family movie for Christmas 2011

Brian, those are two of the most succesful guys in Hollywood.

John, the dog's name is Snowy.

"Honderdduizend bommen en granaten!", Peter and Linda, you could be right.

Sally, yes Tintin is more of a French thing, but it will still be a blast.

Valerie, I'm already getting excited.

Chris, he's just the right age to enjoy Tintin, and it's good clean family fun to boot.

Norma, I have no doubt that they will.

I grew up in French schools and a French mother and I got the benefit of the Tin-Tin books.  How fun, I will look forward to seeing that film. A
